Can I get a quote from pictures?

What if I don't know the size of my stump?
Don't worry about measuring. Most customers have no idea whether their stump is considered small, medium, or large. A few photos are usually enough for us to identify the appropriate service and provide guidance.
What is the Yard Restoration Package?
Our Yard Restoration Package is designed for customers who want the area to look finished after the stump is gone. The package includes chip removal, topsoil placement, grass seed, and straw application. Many customers choose this option because they don't just want the stump removed—they want the yard restored.
What add-on services do you offer?
We offer several optional services to help complete the project, including: additional stump removal, root flare grinding, chip removal, topsoil placement, grass seed and straw, and full yard restoration packages. What is root flare grinding?
Some trees have large surface roots extending beyond the main stump. Root flare grinding removes these visible roots to improve appearance, eliminate mowing obstacles, and prepare the area for future landscaping.
What happens to the wood chips?
Wood chips are typically left on-site unless chip removal is included in your quote. Many customers use the chips as mulch, while others choose chip removal or our Yard Restoration Package for a cleaner finished appearance.
Can you remove multiple stumps during the same visit?
Absolutely. We regularly complete multi-stump projects for homeowners, farms, property managers, developers, and landscapers. Removing multiple stumps during one visit is often the most efficient and cost-effective approach.
How deep do you grind?

Will grass grow where the stump was?
In most cases, yes. Many customers choose topsoil, seed, and straw after grinding to help restore the area and encourage healthy grass growth.
What happens to the roots after grinding?
Stump grinding removes the visible stump and a portion of the root flare below ground level. The remaining roots typically decompose naturally over time. For most residential properties, this provides the best balance of effectiveness and minimal disruption.
What if my stump is near a house, fence, sidewalk, or landscaping?
Many stumps can be safely ground even when located near structures, hardscapes, or landscaping. We'll evaluate access, clearance, and site conditions during the estimate process to determine the safest approach for your property.
Will stump grinding damage my sprinkler system, invisible fence, or landscape lighting?
Private underground systems can sometimes be located near stumps. Please let us know about any irrigation lines, invisible fences, landscape lighting, drainage systems, septic components, or other underground improvements before work begins so we can evaluate potential risks.
Do I need to mark underground utilities?
Public utilities should be located before work begins. Customers are responsible for identifying private underground systems that may not be marked through utility locating services. The more information we have, the better we can protect your property.
Will stump grinding damage my yard?
We take care to minimize disturbance whenever possible. However, stump grinding is heavy equipment work, and some minor turf disturbance, soil displacement, or wood chip dispersal may occur around the work area.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. We operate as a professional business and take property protection seriously. If you have questions about insurance coverage, we're happy to discuss them during the estimate process.
How quickly can I receive a quote?
